Kelsea Maynard

Kelsea is the Founder and Artistic Director of Revolution Theatre Company. Born and raised as a homeschooler in the South Bay, she grew up immersed in both the local theatre and homeschool theatre communities and has been performing since childhood. She attended the Orange County School of the Arts and continued her training with The Young Americans, touring internationally throughout Europe and Japan as a singer and dancer. Performance highlights include appearances at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, the Segerstrom Center, and performing alongside Broadway performer Susan Egan.
Over the past decade, Kelsea has directed and produced more than 65 theatrical productions throughout the South Bay, becoming known for creating dynamic, high-quality productions while cultivating a deeply encouraging and faith-centered environment for young performers. She has a particular passion for creating original musical revues and theatrical experiences that showcase the unique strengths and talents of her students.
Ms. Kelsea’s teaching style is a vibrant mix of energy, encouragement, and intentionality. She creates a dynamic, family-like atmosphere where students feel safe to take risks, try new things, and grow both artistically and personally. Passionate about helping students operate confidently in their God-given talents, she works to help each performer identify strengths, develop new skills, and celebrate the unique individual God created them to be.
At the heart of everything Kelsea does is a desire to see God glorified through the arts. Through Revolution, her goal is to create meaningful theatrical experiences that bring joy to audiences, cultivate excellence in young performers, and ultimately point the spotlight back to the Creator who gave each child their gifts and talents in the first place.
